Tia Ross Appointed to Editorial Freelancers Association Board of Directors

New York, NY—June 22, 2017—Editorial Freelancers Association (“EFA”) today announced that Tia Ross, founder of Tia Ross Editorial, has been elected to its Board of Governors as Member-at-Large.

Tia Ross is a pioneer in the literary services community. She began freelance editing in 1986 and opened her first freelance editing services firm in 1995.

She was founder and director of Black Writers Alliance, the first 501(c)(3) literary arts association to organize online (1998-2003). She also founded and directed Black Writers Reunion & Conference, the successful touring conference for writers of color (2000-2012). Additionally, she served on the Houston Council of Writers Board of Directors and Writers of Wisdom Advisory Board. Tia’s vast experience, especially in association management and building a global online organization, will be extremely valuable as EFA continues to grow.

“I have always admired Editorial Freelancers Association for its professionalism, dynamic leadership team and dedication to our craft, and I’m honored to be joining their board,” said Ross. “I know that there is a lot more I can offer to our community, and I am grateful for this opportunity to work with them.”
